Re: Adding 2 stoke oil to diesel tank?

Hi all would this work for a mk2 pajero 2800 intercooler turbo. The car is a 96 model and getting on in years. It does not smoke at all when you start or cold start. Just a puff of black smoke but however when you are cruising or take off from stop it pours out black smoke from the exhaust. It's a ...

Re: 2005 Gen 3 3.2 Thermostat

The pajero gauge tends to sit just under middle. Only use genuine thermostats. I have never had a midas or goldwagen one last beyond a couple months. A diesel will never get up to temp if you let it idle with the heater on. Take it for a drive. If the needle settles under half and never moves it is ...

Re: RE: Re: 2001 3.2 Di-D EGR Removal

I am attemting to remove the EGT assembly, but the bolts on the exhaust side is extremely tight. How does one prevent turning the head off the bolts ? I saw elsewhere on the forum that the heads tend to round easily, does that mean the bolts are relatively soft and prone to breaking too. What precauti...

Re: Pajero 3.2 oils and lubricants

I serviced a 3.8 V6 Gen3 last week for the second time. The first service I used shell helix hx5 which exceeds the required specs. The client averaged about 16.5l/100km. The last service I used delo 400 MGX. His first tank after service returned sub 14l/100km. So the first tank savings on a super du...

The mechanic reckons it's more than he is used to (my 2007 BK has 182k kms on it). He reckons it might be injectors... But suggested I use a fue...

Re: Recall on all Pajero's

Boss's pajero went in for the recall today. Mail said an hour or so.

Dropped it off this morning at 08:30 and left a staff member there to bring it back.

14:30 and he is still waiting!

Pathetic!

Re: Adding 2 stoke oil to diesel tank?

adding 2so is slightly worse for the environment as it most contains sulphur. That is why the manufacturers don't recommend it. EGR systems are bad for engines but good for the environment. So we blank them off. It has been noted by many how 2so can clean carbon deposits in n engine. It does it very...

Re: Stalling 3.2DiD

Hi all I've recently begun experiencing an interesting variation on this stalling problem. For me it happens only when I start the engine, but not every start, perhaps 1 in every 10. The engine kicks into life perfectly and then idles for 5 to 10 seconds and then cuts out. This weekend I managed to...
