Re: Squeek on rear wheels

Oh happy days. The dreaded squeak has been eliminated. Turned out to be the handbrake shoe adjuster that had one of the springs resting on it. The noise was gnawing at my nerves. After reading somewhere that it might be the hand brake, I started applying the hand brake on the road bumps where I knew...

Re: Gen4 Dash Rattle - Statement from Mitsu SA

That's because they didn't watch John's video!

Just did mine with cable ties all over and its a massive improvement.

Thanks for all the online help, which made it a finger twisting breeze

Re: Impressions of Gen 4 3.2 DiD Auto vs Gen 3 3.5 V6 Manual

Hi Roelf

The Gen3 has a metal bracket, and the Gen4 has a type of gas shock with a plastic piece to hook in open position.

The newer door strut is just not as sturdy as the older Paj. The new one is just more fragile, take a peek at the Gen3 and you'll immediately notice the difference.

Cheers

Re: Impressions of Gen 4 3.2 DiD Auto vs Gen 3 3.5 V6 Manual

Hi

The rear door strut is a flaw on the Gen 4.

The Gen 3 is way better with the design.

Hope you enjoy it,and the V6 will put an end to the agricultural racket  ,never too late to trade!

Re: Squeek on rear wheels

Thanks 4E I didn't think there was much out there for that type of application.I stock exhaust sealants, but not lubricants. As Andrew said,I need to inspect the gasket, and hopefully it's fine. I did supply the exhaust shop with one,and now I'm wondering whether it was replaced or not. :? Cheers Cas

Re: Squeek on rear wheels

Hey guys

I tried Q20 just to be sure that was the nerve wrecker, and my day was made, until the return home when the lube dried up.

I think it might be the spring faces that are rubbing and causing the squeek.

I'll strip and look at it. Any thoughts on copper slip?

Thanks

Re: Squeek on rear wheels(FIXED)

Hi guys Thought I'd close this after sooo long. I finally found the squeek, much by accident! It wasn't the rear door or brakes. The exhaust knuckle where the outlet manifold joins the cat,has two spring loaded bolts. I had a standard exhaust refitted, and upon inspection, the squeek emanated from the ...

Re: Gen 4 dashboard support brackets

A heart felt token of gratitude would be the very least that I could offer. I experienced the dash shake when I hit a pot hole and my wiper switched on. Will try it and hopefully all is well in Pajeroland again   Thank you for all your time and effort to put this to rest. Took a Sa...

Re: Fuel range display on dash not working?

I did that and the display is almost normal... I put in R200(I know that's just a couple of drops  ), which is 14 litres, and the range shows 188 km left, which roughly equates to 13km/l,and that would be just fantastic!! All is good and everything works as it should. Thanks for the guidance Cas
