Have you solved a problem?

Wed Sep 21, 2011 1:33 pm

Do you join forums searching for answers to a tricky technical question? If so this post is directed at you.

When you have been asking questions related to a specific problem, and your problem has been solved by a member of the forum, then that's great.

But is is considered in bad taste, that when you have finally come across a solution, which was NOT offered up in response to your question, and not post that solution. You have maybe conducted further research, done some experiments, or been helped by someone else, but it is still common courtesy to say "thanks for the help, but I managed to find a solution elsewhere, and here is that solution"

Research and solutions are no use to anyone if they stay hidden.

Think about that :ugeek:
