Will the new forum's searches work properly (almos like google's indexed searching with smart modifiers like +,-, "", etc.)?

Re: Pajero Club Website News (Move, Shop etc)
Just an update on the website move...
I've not made as rapid progress as I would have liked - I seem to spend my life at Cape Town IA and Lanseria (or in the air betwixt the two...) and stumbling from one crisis to the next.
I'm about 50% of the way through the redevelopment, and am pleased with what vBulletin 4 is offering us with many things that will make even the most computer illiterate lives easier.
However it is not plain sailing, with the phpBB/vBulletin data migration causing me many headaches which I am struggling to resolve. There will be a point at which I call it quits, do the migration and douse the embers as I come across them.
The shop is up and running but that has had a few hiccups. These are to do with my supply chain and not software... sadly the backsides that need to be kicked are too remote for my size 9 boot. I ask for patience in this regard.
I'll keep you updated on progress early next week.

Re: Pajero Club Website News (Move, Shop etc)
Just to report that I'm making some decent progress on the move to vBulletin
The Look and Feel will be finalised over this weekend.
I will then complete the testing of the data import next week. Hopefully then we can do the migration the following weekend. A privileged few (make that two) have been helping me with testing. Thank you to you both.
I have had several complaints from people not getting their digests. These are all Vodamail subscribers. I have given up the fight with Vodamail's nonsensical spam rules. I'm hoping that the new platform might get around this.. I'm not holding my breath though.
As regards the shop, I have had a few issues with suppliers. Some of you are waiting for goods. You shall be receiving notifications in the next couple of days. Thankfully nothing negative but accept my apologies for the slowness of your orders.
Cheers... I'm off to tuck into a Homebrew before the red-eye to Lanseria tomorrow.

Re: Pajero Club Website News (Move, Shop etc)
And so, if there's a spanner to be found to screw up the works, it's always me that find it.
The import from phpBB is causing me migraines, never mind headaches. Hence the anticipated move this week is not going to happen. And I was so looking forward to changing platform...
There are about 300 posts out of the 22000 that have problems. I am identifying a way of automatically addressing the problematic posts before the import, or having corrupt posts live permanently after the import.
Will keep you informed.

Re: Pajero Club Website News (Move, Shop etc)
Tadaaaaa......
Ok I thought I'd give you a taste of how the new website is looking thus far. There are still issues and bugs, which I am slowly working through. They are mainly cosmetic. I also have to complete the merge with the CMS articles etc.
Targeted launch at the end of the month.
I might be imagining it, but the site is considerably quicker than the current one.
You wont be able to log in, but take a look around and see what you think.
Go to https://www.pajeroclub.co.za/vbulletin.
Note the site will self destruct every now and then while I test the import scripts.
