Good morning
My GDI Petrol pump is giving hassles.
I have heard only of a company in Namibia that are able to recondition these petrol pumps.
I am not paying what they are asking for a new pump at Mits.
Please if anybody has any advise on it I am open for suggestions.
Thank you

Re: GDI High Pressure Petrol Pump
Hi feedback removed pressure pump and took out the internal filters. Fitted an inline filter replaced tested no faults as previously experienced. Early days to say it's cured but not gone into limp mode.

Re: GDI High Pressure Petrol Pump
Sorry forgot to mention got and fitted new pressure sensor. As I said was waiting for supply from Japan. Got some new pipes small around throttle body. Agents said not available cost inc pipes postage and duty a lot less than what agent wanted for sensor. This is the old one I removed. You can't test it but not going into limp mode. If all else fails you need to replace this sensor.

I have opened a new thread for some GDI questions I have
From reading the posts here it looks like there are a few members that are knowledgeable about the GDI engines ..
Hopefully they will see my new post and be kind enough to reply

Re: GDI High Pressure Petrol Pump
Good morning All
Regarding the GDI Petrol Pump.
Was driving through Namibia last week and got hold of the Company in Windhoek. Its ATIC Automotive Tuning & Injector Centre. Speak to Garry the Owner. +264 61 257 954 or +264 82 129 8396.
What a great experience. Garry took me into his machine room showed me what he does and showed me about 9 GDI pumps that he is busy with. Could eat off his floor it so clean inside.
I asked him if he could have it fixed for my return trip from Oshakati and with no problems he had it done.
On my return monday morning it was sealed and ready. He showed me all the defective parts and how he changed it.
Having it refitted Next week monday. Will give feedback on the results.
Thank you Garry for a great experience.

Re: GDI High Pressure Petrol Pump
Hello. Can you tell me how the reconditioned GDI pump that Garry in Namibia worked out for you? I am wondering about contacting him as we cannot find a used GDI pump in good condition anywhere and the new ones are outrageously expensive.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: GDI High Pressure Petrol Pump
Hi I've had problems with my GDI cutting out. Removed both filters on the pump and replaced sensor on petrol fuel line. This was months ago cured my fault.
