Hi all.
I've got a Gen 3 Auto SWB.
Recently, when I'm in 4H or 4L and slowing down (or gearing down), I can hear a clicking sound coming from the front of the vehicle. It's also there when going down a hill and holding it in 1st gear too.
When I'm in 2H, it's totally fine, which obviously points to something in the front part of the drive train. It makes the same sound as a CV joint click.
Any suggestions welcome, but I'm leaning towards a worn ujoint...?
Cheers,
Matt.

Re: Tick tick tick in 4WD
Probably the CV joint of the front prop shaft went bad.
The Pajero's Prop shaft has a U-joint on the differential side, and a CV-joint on the other side going out of the transfer case.
