Dash fix. What a great experience
I did a recon of recent months activity both in CT and JHB and we have hit the 197 vehicle mark.
Only 3 to go.....
Edit: suddenly I had three guys come and get their’s fixed this weekend, that’s 200 recorded dash fixes complete!!!
Well done JohnG on a brilliant solution to a seemingly complex problem

Re: Dash fix. What a great experience
Ian Hutton fixed my dash rattle in Cape Town. I have a gen. 4 with the Caska unit. I recently had the first opportunity to test the "fix" on some terrible
corrugated roads on our way to Witsand, Northern Cape and then again on our way back through the Namaqua Park on our way to Hondeklipbaai. What a difference. A big thanks to Ian who did a great job and to the pioneers who figured this fix out. It really transform the vehicle on a bad road. Ian's contact number is 082 492 3512.

Re: Dash fix. What a great experience
Hi everyone,
It's so good to be a part of a DIY enthusiast car community, as I am currently in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, and am now experiencing first hand how frustrating the dashboard issues are! Indicators going, wipers set themselves to fast and sanity levels going out the window!
I have disassembled the interior more times than I can count and have remanufactured several brackets for the Center armrest (which has made a world of difference on its own), but am yet to tackle the dashboard mounts.
Before I strip the interior and remake everything out of a decent gauge steel, I would love to get some insight into what the current mounting situation looks like and what the fixed solution looks like?
I'm in JHB, if my profile doesn't say so
