Hello everyone. For those that aren’t on the Facebook Group, I saw this vehicle yesterday and it has a Lynx “Mini” bumper on. This is the first time that I really really like what I saw, the main reason being that you don’t need to cut your existing bumper so you are able to replace it one day (check around the headlights).
Charles from Lynx is back in SA after two years abroad, he closed Lynx after it was apparently run into the ground by someone else during his absence.
Charles is now at Opposite Lock in Alberton and he tells me he can do this bumper again, we didn’t talk cost as I want to go and see him first to discuss the build/design before he gives costing.

Re: Pajero Gen4 Front Bumper
Hi Kurt. I will definitely be interested in one. Supply only, Cape Town, unpainted. Let's see what the interest and costs will be for that?

That’s what I was going to ask for, supplied unpainted so that I can get mine colour coded... if budget allows. I will let you know.

Re: Pajero Gen4 Front Bumper
I'm also very interested in something like this.
Apart from costs, I would also like to know :
1. Weight of bumper
2. Mounting points of bumper to Chassis/Body
3. Does it cater for a winch inside of it
4. How does it affect the airbag sensors and headlight washers
Best regards,
Aamil

This one isn’t for a winch, hence the “mini” name given to it.
It also doesn’t make provision for the washers and sensors.
The attachment to the chassis looked very solid from what I saw, proper engineered brackets with 8.8 rated bolts in all the right places.
Not sure about weight but it will be much less than an ARB, I reckon

Re: Pajero Gen4 Front Bumper
I get the need for those forward facing exhaust pipes, but heck, it spoils a really cool looking bumper.
The big gap between the bumper and body can also detract from the good looks.
I think I used my light washers once or twice in all the time I had my car, no real loss.

Thanks for the feedback Kurt.
I was thinking of winch placement along the line of the picture above
