Cats, how does the diy dashboard test work?
Kenneth

Sorry. I was off grid in December. Only saw your post requesting the diy diagnostics method now.

Here is the link.

It only works on gen3 Pajero 2000 to 2007 as far as I know.

The engine light flashes at the same pace the whole time.
Also the diff lock light. Cannot count a fault code.
The other thread suggests that there are no faults then.

I thought the acc point on the ignition may not be working, but I can hear the cd shuttle cycle when the key is at first position/accecory.

Engine compartment fuse box. Yelow discoonector box for accesories.two fuses, 20A permanent power. 10A power when ign on.
There is power on both.
There must be a unit/relay computer box that gets power from the fuses and feeds all the accesories.
Any ideas?

still cannot find the fault on the accesories. alternator not charging at end of October. then battery went for a loop and took the starter along. replaced both and could not find a fault on alternator because it was miraculously charging when it went if for battery and starter.
dont you just hate pajero. it costs a fortune to fix. no idea why we keep going for the trap. there are other 4x4's that can do the same and cost a third of the price to fix in comparison to a pajero.
deep sigh. and yet it is my happy place when Pajero and I are alone on a gravel road.
