Headlight Bulb Replacement
Mitsubishi has quoted me R6k odd to replace one of the low-beam headlight globes on my 2012 SWB Pajero Exceed. Are there any cheaper options? I assume that it is an HID bulb so is it possible to replace it with an LED which would be a lot less expensive? My other challenge is how to remove the bulb. Is there a trick to it or do I have to remove the whole headlamp fitting?

Cheers

Re: Headlight Bulb Replacement
The bulbs should be max 600-800rand each. Changing them is easy, it’s tight but you can change them in situations.
Change them in position. Takes maybe 10 minutes a side.

Re: Headlight Bulb Replacement
Check out Takealot for possible replacement light bulbs. There is a conversion kit required.
Sorry I cannot post a picture, but once you have taken the old one out, compare to what is available.

Re: Headlight Bulb Replacement
Hi Mitsu Fan, thank you for the useful information. The link to the Owners Manual is very helpful. My Pajero is fitted with discharge headlight bulbs so there is a trick to removing them. I have just got to work out how to release the spring clip as shown in the manual.
