Hi 4E
* Pitman arm (part was same as Colt Rodeo 2.0 / 2.8 NA)
NB Pitman arm for Gen1 and Gen2 are different.
I have started to replace my idler arm and pitman arm as they where worn. I am having problems sourcing the correct pitman arm for the gen 1 pajero, I got one from Midas for the colt rodeo (part number IA5573) but it does not fit. Do you maybe have a part number for the pitman arm you have on your pajero?
Thanks.

Attached find the image of the packaging of the Pitman Arm I fitted.
What year is your Gen1?
Take off the Pitman Arm and get them to find the correct one (I can only guess that yours has either earlier model or later model's equivalent)

Hi 4E
Mine is a 1990 lwb 2.5tdi.
Thanks for the photos
I bought the same arm as the one you have posted (IA5573) and it would not fit/mesh with the splines which is weird. I ended up going to the stealers and got the Colt rodeo one and it fitted perfectly but it was hell of expensive almost 10 times more expensive than the pirate part.

Re: Gen1 with a Gen3 Heart / My Gen1 3.2 Di-D Build Up
Hi all. Im digging up a very old thread.
I am new to the site but i have been searching the Net high and low for information related to the wiring side of the 4M41 engine for the sake of engine conversions and this site is the only one with actual start to finish conversion.
can anyone help me by pointing me in the direction of more detailed information regarding the wiring of the 4M41 as this thread only touches briefly on the wiring troubles. i have some basic diagrams i have been able to get through my work but they dont go into enough detail regarding the linking of other modules/ecu's.
i am not a stranger to this kind of thing as i have pioneered some engine conversion wiring in the past and have shared the info for people to follow suit.
i have also been phoning ECU repair companies to see if they can modify the ECU to run as a stand alone unit but they all say it cant be done. I am new to DiD engines and am finding the electronics far more complicated than a conventional petrol ECU.
i would contact 4ePajero but am unable to because of being a new member. any help would be very much appreciated and in return i may be able to put up a more detailed how-to for the wiring.

Hehe. Dis nie ek nie. My pa het daai ombouing gedoen.

Jip. Dad's the one to know about strange engines in cars. He's built a chev v6 into the kombi and his gen1 is currently housing it's 4th engine.
