Still not enough interest to justify a POCSA frequency?

Skillie. No, and given how uncertain things are around AAWDC I am looking at alternatives (not only for us but my other club)Skillie wrote:Hi All,

The radio licence issue through ORRA is a really hot potato at the moment. While I am very close to the issues with ORRA and ICASA I'm not willing to commit any funds to AAWDC membership if the only "benefit" we get is questionable service from ORRA.
I am privy to certain movements as regards radio licences and I will feed back in time as soon as there is something positive.

I'm still very keen on this, keen enough to pay more than R100 pa.
Can we not try and see if we get the 50 licenses how many members will use them and then divide the R5000 by those members?

Hi Simon,SimonB wrote:I am investigating the possibility of a Pajero Club VHF radio frequency.
However, the requirement that we will have to apply for 50 licenses minimum at somewhere around R100 per annum per licence to recover expenses.
If I can't get 50 member to commit to annual radio license fees then the idea will be moot.
