Re: Rear Diff Noice
Hi.
When last did your vehicle enjoy a full lube service?
Years ago I had this humming sound on my Ford bakkie 3.0L V6 diff.
The outcome, the diff was very low on oil. This causes the diff to run quite hot.
After filling the diff with oil, the humming sound was gone.
This might not be in your case.
However, do check if there is any oil deposits around the diff nut/screw. If so, that explains a whole lot.
Honestly hope you come right.

Re: Rear Diff Noice
Thanks for the advise. it seems there is some oil around the housing. Will check where the origin is and hopefully you are right. Topping it up might solve the prolem.
