Re: My Pajero 2.8 tdi swb
Nice car. Mine is almost identical. Also white. I have just fitted 16 inch (Toyota) rims to it with 265/70 General Grabbers. I now have 220mm clearance below the rear diff casing. The ride is brilliant, & the low gearing is slightly raised. I wanted to achieve 31 inch wheel diameter (you can't go bigger because the tyres will foul the front anti-roll bar). I would have preferred narrower tyres but there are no other alternatives available in South Africa that will give the same overall diameter. The downside is that the Toyota rims are heavier than the Mitsubishi rims, & the tyres are heavier, too.
I now have an issue with the front "hub" caps as the Toyota ones (I remove the badge & glue a Mitsubishi badge in its place) won't fit over the front hubs, & the Mitsubishi ones are around 10mm too small in diameter to fit nicely. I would like to get hold of a pair of Mitsubishi caps that I can modify (I don't want to spoil the originals). Can anyone help me?

Here is my Pajero taking part in a 4x4 challenge at the Kuruman Show. My son was the driver and I was co-driver. We came first in our class.

Re: My Pajero 2.8 tdi swb
The Gen 2 SWB must be the most beautiful (and capable?) Pajero ever. Tnere is one standing in my garage (belongs to my son, unfortunately) minus its 2.8 (overheated and warped the top) waiting for the transplant. Any ideas regarding the feasability and cost of going for a Did in stead. That will make it a real monster!
