Where are you leaving ?

My EVO comes from Japan WITHOUT manual !

1st question : I'm from France and have a "little problem" with the TV on the dashboard (Evo received from Japan lats week)
Can you explain to me how i must use it ?
The screen comes out of the dashboard but did not fall . . .
Any solution ?

2nd question : WHAT is it ? . . . And how i can use it ?

Salut Bear,

I'm also French (but live in South Africa) and although I don't own an Evo, I'll try to answer your questions. We can speak French via PM if you find it easier ;)

1. I'm not sure about this one. I imagine that the "slide" button is for on screen navigation, and not to tilt the screen up and down? Have you tried to push those buttons?
And what happens if you try to tilt the screen up by hand? Is it stuck?

2. This is a compass (boussole) and needs to be set up. Press and hold the round button with a "S" on it at the bottom right. A "S" should flash and go around in circles on the gauge. You need to drive the car slowly in a circle. This is for the car to learn where North is and to calibrate itself. You can/need to set your magnetic deviation too, I don't remember exactly how to do this, maybe it was by pushing "S" once more after it was calibrated? Maybe others here will have a fresher memory than myself (I sold mine a while ago).
You need to do this everytime you unplug the battery.
And in the half circle under the car drawing is the outside temperature.

3. Again, not sure about the Evos, my first thought was that it could be the radio antennas, but you have it on the A pillar on the passenger side. Maybe the TV antenna then? I haven't seen it on the pictures of the other Evos posted here, but maybe TV was an option that the other ones here didn't have.

I hope this helps!
Très belle voiture au passage ;)
A+
Fab.

A bientôt.

Le voilà . . . et il roule (enfin, parfois).

Question to the owners of pajero evolution.
I have a leakage current on the battery.
When I do not use the pajero for more than 7 days, can not start, battery too low !
I know how to do the diagnosis by unplugging the fuses one by one to find which component is the cause of the failure, but it is not one that is protected by a fuse in the engine compartment. are there other fuses elsewhere that I can not find ?
Thank you for your help, I have no documentation, neither in Japanese nor in English (let alone in French !)

If you can reply to me, mail to : Bear83@wanadoo.fr (with explain please).
MANY THANKS

I come to find the culprit, it is the one surrounded in yellow under the dashboard. But what does it protect ?

Salut Bear,

You can download the user's manual from this forum HERE
When you open the zip file, open "08 - For emergencies" and look at page 28/41 (page 239 of the manual).
This is not specific to the Evo, but I guess that it will have a lot in common with the normal Pajero.

It looks like the culprit is fuse 14, that runs the clock and the inside lights (which makes sense).
To confirm, maybe look at the current drawn with the doors closed (inside lights will be off) and a door open (inside lights will be on) and you should have more draw then.
The clock will permanently draw current.

Send me a PM if you need all of this in French 8-)
Fab.

Merci Fab. Tant pis pour l'anglais, trop difficile pour moi.

Merci Google !
*************************************************

* Je te remercie pour la doc, j'ai trouvé pour moteur et périfs, mais celle-là, j'avais pas.
* J'en ai acheté un autre (3.2 Di-D / 2000 / 193.000kms) avec "défaut Pompe injection" . . . à pas cher (le proprio en avait ras le Q d'y injecter du fric.

.
- Démarrage OK
- Ralenti OK
