Gerbek,

I had a 2003 with round foglights and no TC. My info is that TC was introduced in 2004. The best visual indicator would be a sunroof.

I agree with Bigwill. Ny Pajero is a 2004 GLS 3.8 with a maintenance plan till 100 000km. I believe that the tail lights changed in 2002/2003 from those with the metal surrounds to all plastic. Traction control, 16" wheels and sunroof were standard on mine. The colouring of the outside mirrors also changed from body colour to chrome somewhere in the 2002/2003 models, the shape of the rear bumper also changed over that period.
