Hallo all,
This is my first post i hope that i can get some direction and help from the experience in this forum. I own a 2005 v6 engine pajero a while ago i started experiencing a ringing sound similar to that of a bell or something like that when on the road but this would end with like a strong thud like sound when i bring the car to a complete stop. Then when i start again the ringing would be quiet just to appear a few kms down the road its not only irritating but am worried there could be a serious wear and tear taking place which might be costly if i don't deal with it.
That's where i have an issue i took it to a pajero specialist who actually couldn't make up the sound or the cause so as we were still in the investigative stage i took the car for a long drive say 500kms one way, on the way one of the fan belt bearing ceased got broken and the belt cut. I replaced the same and we were quick to conclude that was the cause as after that the noise disappeared for some months but its back again and now different shops i go to mechanics are just fishing around, we've checked all the bearings related to the belt area all are rolling fine. In addition my car is an automatic shift another issue i have noticed there is that place on the dash which has a figure of the vehicle which when two wheel is engaged the two rear tire on the figure lights green or four wheel all the four light, now sometimes as am driving it doesn't indicate on either but rather the orange light in the middle lights up.
It's a quite a mouthful is there any help to diagnose these problem thank you.
