Does the steering wheel buttons work on the gen4 pajero with the Caska system installed?

Re: Pajero 4 + caska question
I dont know the answer to your question but apparently the Caska system does not work with all the models that are equiped with the Rockford Fosgate system, so just be carefull of that as well. Or if you get clarity please post here.
I have been contemplating this upgrade on my 2009 gen4 forever but can never get a definative answer.

Re: Pajero 4 + caska question
I have the changed mine on a Gen 4, the system came with a can bus for the Rockford system, steering controls, mode, volume controls on the steering all work perfectly. This was not a Caska sytem I imported it from Japan via internet and had to specify the Rockford system for the can -bus, it was all plug and play. DVD, navigation, reverse camera etc all works very well.

I have a 2011 SWB, with Caska. Steering controls work great. I just find the Caska very user unfriendly.4ePikanini wrote:Does the steering wheel buttons work on the gen4 pajero with the Caska system installed?

Re: Pajero 4 + caska question
I just bought a 2014 LWB with caska that was installed before original (new) delivery. No Rockford
volume skip etc all work on steering, phone controls do not work. The steering wheel phone controls now function as general mute, open nav/map
Would have been nice if could have integrated with installed car bluetooth. But now have extra caska microphone protruding from roof next to original mic.
The caska bluetooth works well for general calls, works a bit for streaming music via bluetooth, does not seem to work with whatsapp calls (which previous built in Mitsu bluetooth managed)
Also caska does not support the Aux in or the USB found in the glove box
The Mistu Rear view camera in mirror much better quality than the Caska one

Re: Pajero 4 + Rockford Fosgate system
Reviving an old thread here....
How good are these Rockford Fosgate systems? Worth sourcing at a breakers to retrofit to a 2008 SWB?
I would need it to talk to an Android head unit but does it make sense to get the amp and the RF speakers?
Or better to just go aftermarket?
