2005 /2006 was the year they phased Gen3 out and 2006 / 2007 Gen4.1 in. The pump on the Gen3 can be a problem with high mileage and can be repaired.
The Gen 4.1 is Common Rail - I take it this is the system you have? The pump on this system is not known to give problems. What went wrong? I might be able to help here.

Dear Sir
Thank you for helping to solve this problem. What went wrong is that when I started the vehicle in the morning. It looked like it was starting for a few seconds in the same time black smoke was coming from the exhaust pipe and then it stopped. I got the vehicle checked by a specialist and concluded that the problem was with the enjectors pump because diesel was not getting pumped into the engine. I really don't know if the cause was the system or the pump it self. I was told that other parts of the vehicle were working properly. Now because my search for the pump was getting exhausted, I thought of replacing the whole engine by a new one if I can find one. Can the pump I have be reconditioned or fixed or if it's the system causing the problem. What is to be done. For plan B where can I find a new engine?
Again, thank you so much for helping. I really appreciate that.

Hi,
Buying a new engine will be quiet a project as they don't come cheap if you can find one.
Try contacting Arnold at Mitsi Tech Performance in Alberton. He seems to be on top of the ball with these cars.

Hope you can get some help from him. He did my pump about "7000 Km ago" and the car is still running good. Although mine is 3.2 2004 with a Zexel pump.

If it has moving parts, You can always figure out how it works. Not applicable for solid state hard drives.

Can you please confirm / make sure - you say when you started it, it pushed out black smoke. Are you positive it was black and not maybe whitish / blue smoke?
