Hi,

I spent some time at Atlantis dunes yesterday practising some retrieval techniques on an ad hoc training course.

It got me thinking - should one be snatching a bogged cruiser or other heavy vehicle using only one rear recovery point? Can the monocoque chassis handle this sort of stress on one side of the vehicle?

The chap directing us said a harness of sorts that allowed for connection to both recovery points would be best, but that the use of one point is also fine.

I've seen the Aussie youtube video that tests this, but thought I'd ask the forum as well.

Any thoughts?

Two recovery points with a bridle is always more desirable, but I've never heard of issues on a Gen 3 or 4 Paj with proper recovery points (single or double)

IMO is that using a bridal also puts less stress on the recovery rope/strap connecting points and should help the straps/ropes to last a bit longer also.
