Pajero Alternator/Power Steering pulley
Hi All,

Some help please.

On Friday night I came off the highway, as I pulled off I heard a thump and lost my power steering. Luckily the motor was still running and I made it home. On inspection I found the pulley that is connected to the motor was off and all the belts tangled up (fan belt, power steering belt, alternator belt).

I bought replacement belts but the issue appears to be the pulley? (See pics below). I cant seem to find any info on whether or not there shout be a nut or something holding this onto the engine. At the moment it obviously goes back on but there is nothing to secure it.

Any help on the part I need to do this, or advice, would be appreciated. This is a 1993 3.0L V6.

Thanks
Sean

I'm on my blackberry so lazy to type

Do a google search for v6 crank bolt issue. I have posted much on it.

Re: Pajero Alternator/Power Steering pulley
As Marius said it is an old problem or issue with the v6 and prone to happening again if not done properly. Have a look at the thread below
