You have now touched on the most discussed issue on the internet:

2SO = Two Stroke Oil

Do a search on this forum as well as others and you will find plenty discussion.

Basically half the forum members recommend the adding of mineral 2SO to the fuel tank in a mixture of 1:200.

The purpose is to lubricate and clean the fuel and inlet system.

I even used it on my petrol motor a while back on a long haul across the country.

What I did is to pull off the vacuum pipe and inserted a small bolt into the pipe, more to screwed it in. and closed the hole on the vacuum thingy with duct tape to keep out any dust or whatever.
