Hi guys,
Just a quick question regarding the fuel requirements of a 2003 Pajero 3500 v6. Leaded or unleaded fuel?
Every single source(including the car's fuel filling hole) indicates that it should take unleaded fuel, except one. The vehicle owners manual......I have been using unleaded fuel because the leaded petrol pump nozzle at the service station doesn't even fit in the hole. Why does the manual specifically state that leaded fuel should be used and all other soucres including NAAMSA say otherwise?
Thanks
it should run on both but leaded will destroy your catalytic converter in no time robbing power and creating huge back pressure and heat - it could also lead to a burnt valve.
My advice. Stick to unleaded and plan on removing the catalytic converter (just fit a straight pipe or resonator) due to probable damage already done.
