So for the last week or so, I would get an intermittent engine management light when accelerating from 110km/h upwards (especially if the gearbox wants to change down a gear).
The power will cut, and when you take your foot of the accelerator, all is well.
So today i took her to Mitsubishi Tygervalley, and they did diagnostics on the diesel pump. Seems the values are all over the place.
Now, they took those values, and a report from Alan Black, and submitted to Motorite for approval. (Or part approval).
Seems like the injectors might go hand in hand here, and only once all that is fixed can they even start to test the turbo.
The workshop foreman is talking about R35 000,00 odd repair bill!!!
On a 6 year old car with 148k on the clock.
I am having the worst possible luck with cars lately.
Just hope Motorite comes to the party.
OUCH!
I hope you get what you paid for from the Motorite insurance. Also check out the speedsensor at it seems to also give pumpfailure like symptoms when it plays up. What fault codes did the MUTT tool at Mitsu show up?
Also read these postings on the Aussie Pajero forum for pump failure related issues.

What preventative measures can one take to safeguard your diesel pump? My uncle had his injector/pump issues on his 3,2DiD and it cost him plenty.
