Hi Folks
I'm based in Johannesburg and have a year 2000 Pajero GLS 3500 (petrol). The gasket recently blew and after a repair and another breakdown, it is now back with the incompetent mechanic who wants to replace postons and a lot of other components. (his second attempt at repair).

Can anybody please advise me if there is a non-agent workshop in JHB / Gauteng who specialises in Mitsubishi motor repairs, or alternatively where I might look for a reconditioned or used replacement motor?

I've been lurking in the shadows quietly but had nothing constructive to offer that wasn't already offered somewhere on the site.

I did find someone called Rui in Boksburg (very nearby) who does advanced Mitsubishi specific repairs: There are quite a few names listed on the 4x4 Community website:
