Kopbeenskloof 4x4 - Aug 2011
A couple of weeks ago, a friend of my mine bought a Disco II V8 (he's a mechanic by trade and owns his own workshop, so having a car that breaks all the time isn't such a big issue for him). So we decided to take the car out for test and headed out to Kopbeenskloof (on the R318 between De Doorns & Montagu, on the farm next to Leeuwenboschfontein).

They have two routes, a grade 2/3 (which we did) and a grade 4/5 with a scary downhill section. The grade 2/3 route is mostly farm road, with two small stream crossings, a couple of steep climbs and an amazing view over the valley. Not too taxing route, think it a good one for beginners to do.

I didn't, drove round it on right of picture (i suspect that we may have gotten a little lost and wandered off the trial at that point).
