Sorry that it is in Afrikaans, very busy, just copied and pasted. Will translate when I come back if needed.
Toe begin my stront.
Dankie
Renier
This is a pic of my belts when I rebuilt my v6

You will notice the 2 brown pulleys. The top one has a bolt in the middle, loosen it.
Then just to the back of it is another silver bolt on a black bracket (14mm) - clockwise to slacken belt and vice versa.
The a/c belt works the same with the small top pulley of the three.
The power steering pulley needs to be loosened as a whole if remember correctly.

Thanks Marius,
I got sorted at the end. David Maritz assisted me over the phone. Oops, now that you mentioned it, I forgot to loosen the top pulley centre nut although I ajusted it. Maybe it was a bit loose and that is why it moved. I will check that nut tomorrow morning. The AC is just as you mentioned, the same setup as the main belt.
The Power steering is completely different to this. You have to loosen the two bolts directly behind its pulley and you can only do so by working through the two holes in the pulley with a socket spanner. And there is a bolt at the back of the power steering unit (bottom) that you have to loosen. (very akward position)
The belt for the AC was far to short and I will go and change it for a longer one tomorrow. But my Yster started and is going bakgat again.
Thanks a million for the assistance, appreciate.
Now I know a bit more about my Pajero.
