I have a few things I do to prevent being hijacked.
- I hide valuables out of sight
- I fitted smash and grab
- I leave enough space between me and the car in front of me to be able to drive away (also planning escape route) - If need be, I'll drive into cars to attract attention or get away.
- doors always locked and windows closed (A/C is a small price to pay)
Luckily the thiefs haven't caught on how nice our cars are and they prefer the "others" (no malicious intent to them meant by that
).
