Came across this forum after searching for info on carbs for Gen 1 paj. I need to replace my carb and the two options given by the carb specialist are 38 Weber or 38 Pierburg both from the ford v6. Is this a straight swop or is an adaptor required.
Any assistance is much appreciated
I suppose you are talking about the 2.6 4-cyl engine?
There is a wealth of info on this forum: 4x4wire
Those guys know those engines better than anybody.

Thanks for the info 4ePajero, it is the 2.6 4-cyl
It is a 1991 model with 323000kms, i have owned it for about 8 years, initially used with great success on the local trails around Cape town but then i grew up now its mostly used for touring with the family
very reliable vehicle a bit down on power having to lug a heavy body, according to the carb specialist the 38 carb should release a couple of horses
spare parts has not been a problem as it has a lot in common with the older colt rodeo's, must say the independant parts suppliers very helpful compared to the mitsu dealer until i complained to the parts manager and now they are better
thanks for the quick response
