Na 'n jaar se voorbereiding het ons 'n ongelooflike 2 weke in Namibia gehad. Die sentrale tema was die Faces of the Namib - 5 dae binne die Namib.
Aangeheg is meer 'n foto verslag as 'n "trip report".
Ek hoop dit gaan julle aanspoor om ook dit te gaan beleef.
Roelof, nice photos, glad you enjoyed, brings back memories.

Hi Roelof,
Thanks for the great trip report, now I am just lus for the dunes again. Sorry I missed our calls before you left for Namibia, looks lik you had a great time, I have a soft spot for Sossusvlei and Sesriem.
Driving the dunes is addictive.....
How did your bumper hold up, did you make a few mods before going?
Cheers
David

Hi David
Apart from 1 miscalculation on a small slipface what i hit quite hard, it car managed very well.
The bump required a bending back a support within the front bumper. Small stuff. The dirt roads however played havoc with one of the wheel liners which will require replacement.
The only mod that was really worthwhile was airhelpers that i installed in the back coils. That really help with the oevrall drive and well as limiting "bottoming out" at the back.
The pleacement front underbody gaurd was a bit of a disappointment as it served as sand collector blockimg the intercooler. That was very frustrating. I think the OEM would have copped better. However it think it saved me on the slipface incident mentioned above.
Overall basic stock standard Paj handled him very well in the dunes. (Would have liked a few extra horsepower - but that will never be enough)
