Hi all

Anyone happen to know what parts I would require to service my 99 3.0L shortie.

I know the plugs are BPR5ES and from what I can ascertain the gap should be 1.1mm??
Air filter :
Fuel Filter :
Oil Filter :
Oil and quantity :

I've checked the pads and they're ok, just need to adjust the handbrake. I'm assuming its cable adjustment??

I know I can ask the okes at the spare shop but...... I dont trust them to be honest.

Anything else you think I should be aware of?

Be sure to get the BPR5ES plug it looks the same as the bp5es but the r stands for resistor. If you do not have that the computer sends erratic signals and rough idling is the result. Often the assistant in the spares shop misreads the r and gives you the normal ones.
With a filter you should use about 5.5l of oil what make is the question that has sparked wars. 5.5l Should give you an over full level but I have noticed that the motor and especialy the tappets run much quieter

I have sorted out which filters n plugs (will rem to check for the R) - I'm thinking either 10W-40 or 15W-40 - what do you think?

Anyone know what petrol filter to use on the 99 3.0L SOHC?

I was given a FRAM G7356 but the petrol tank side of the fuel line doesnt screw in - fits perfectly on the old one but the number has rubbed off.

Your handbrake should be easy to adjust, just adjust the nut where the cables join close to the handbrake. It's a 10 spanner if I recall.
