Oil Level Sensor
I want to know how to get the oil level sensor and is it easily cleaned or replaced?? Is a float-type sensor? :?:

My oil level warning light comes on all the time and I'm sick and tired of it now. I use Delo 400 oil and I have overfilled with 1cm already. Nothing helps.

If I opened up the sump, will I need a new gasket to seal it again? Any help will be much appreciated!! :!:

Oil Level Sensor
Is this on the Did motor?

If so it is a float type sensor and easy to replace. I fitted my new one without new sealant and it seems to be working 100.

Do search for oil level warning light posted by me for part number and pictures.

thirdly, I suspect it can be removed and cleaned without dropping the sump. Dropping the sump requires lifting the engine or dropping the front diff.

Re: Oil Level Sensor
Hi guys,
Repairing the oil level sensor is quite simple...all it has is a magnetic switch...exactly the same as the one in the magnetic door sensor of your house alarm (at less that R10). Take the door sensor ..open it...solder off the switch( it is glass tube with the switch in and two wires protruding)and replace the one in your sensor.
