Thanks to all that partisipated in trying to resolve the issues. (I still haven't my Pajero back)
Heard the story before "Ek het geen hande nie, die jong outjies van vandag wil nie werk nie" (April 2011)
My Pajero is in Freek's workshop for month's and he is still taking on new jobs, why does'nt he finish my car? I am telling you Months........ Serously getting gatvol. All knows the saying " hy wat kan lieg kan steel ook" well caught him out lying to me a couple of time's when he ran out of excuses as to why no progress on the repairs.
Read somewhere "geduld is 'n stadige manier om jou moer te strip" I am almost there. There is NO excuse for taking so long to repair my vehicle.
By the way this is my first experience with Mitspro and I thinks potential new customers should seriously take note of my experience to prepare them for a long wait if they are planning to make use of Mitspro for major work on their vehicles. Easy money jobs definately jumps the que in his workshop.
Somehow more presure must be put on this guy to deliver ..........
Thanks for this Forum you guys (Gals) Rock.......................
I am trying to piece together what happened to your Pajero, but the details are a bit sketchy.Daizy wrote:My Pajero is in Freek's workshop for month's and he is still taking on new jobs, why does'nt he finish my car?
Please give us a factual set out of the details of your case.
Problems,
Dates,
Commitments
etc
That is a very serious allegation (accepting that he is probably capable of stealing).Daizy wrote: I am telling you Months........ Serously getting gatvol. Please elaborate on the case, so that we can decide whether your criticism is founded or not.Daizy wrote:By the way this is my first experience with Mitspro and I thinks potential new customers should seriously take note of my experience to prepare them for a long wait if they are planning to make use of Mitspro for major work on their vehicles. What communication is there between you and Mitspro?
Hi All,
It is with great regret that I have to unfortunately complain about the service and assistance I received from Freek Snr and Jnr.
Just like most of you I got Mitspro's details from this forum and I have had my car, Pajero iO 1999, serviced there in Marc. had the flashing light issues and it was resolved very quickly. I was extremely happy then and actually recommended them to a few people who have since then had their cars services at their shop.
Last week Monday the (3rd of December 2012), I got into my car and was unable to get my Pajero into gear. Eventually I had AA out, (Thank you VISA) to tow my car to Mitspro to have the clutch repaired or replaced, as I was/am leaving for Mozambique the 12th of December. I asked Freek Jnr to please just inform me what needs to be done and the cost associated as I need to look at the budget like most of us. After the two days, numerous phone calls and message and no one returning my calls I got hold of Freek Jnr. I was told my car is fixed and I can go and collect it, being a bit scared of what this would set me back I got a lift to the garage and went to fetch my car. The total cost R499 including, I was relieved and happy as this is not bad to get it fixed. I was told by Freek Jnr, it was some or other plug that perished and I had to be replaced. Its as good as new!
I left the shop and returned home, approx 100m before my complex's gate the clutch went again. I had to free the car to right in front of my garage and there it stood.
I phone Freek Jnr immediately( 15:45), I was told by Freek Snr that he went out to test drive a car and that he would phone me back as a matter of urgency. Satisfied with the response I waited. Night came and the did the next morning, still no call. I phoned again and got hold of Freek Jnr, I explained to him what happened. He told me that there is a older guy which is the driver, he went out and as soon as he is back he would come and assist me as he knew I had no other means of transport. Well needless to say that came and went, I eventully phoned again later that afternoon and was informed that he will get back to me. This cycle continued for the next 2 days and no one came to assist me. There were just excuses and excuses. I eventually decided to escalate this to Freek Snr on the Wednesday. He promised me that he would resolve it the same day, he ahs to go to Rustenburg and then Johannesburg and he would get back to me the same day. Well nothing happened, I phoned again on Thursday and was promised and told similar stories. Still I had no transport, so I decided to write them an email, seeing that they don't return calls and and told them they should rather refund me and I will take my car somewhere else. Friday morning I received a call from the receptionist asking if they could come in the next 20minutes. At that stage I was at the office once again with no transport and explained to her my situation and told her about the email. Once again I was told Freek will get back to me, and once again I waited to hear nothing, so this morning (10 December 2012) I phoned and asked about the refund. Once again I was told Freek will phone me, 6 hours later I phoned again and spoke to Freek. I asked him when I can expect my refund as this is unacceptable, he immediately started to blame shift and said that if I gave him the car when he asked he could have sorted it out, granted Freek, but you never returned calls or got back to me. What am I suppose to do? I was then told that, that the solution was a mere temporary fix, first I heard of this and can't remember that I asked for this, and travelling 3500 kms with temporary fix is not good enough. He then told me its was hard to get parts for the car, which I know all about, but NO COMMUNICATION, so I told him its fine. I will take it somewhere else, but please can you refund me my money. He told me that he wouldn't do that, and now he can't see what happened and what went wrong because I took it to another mechanic. " No Freek, I could take it to another mechanic as I can't drive my car, remember. I had to push it into the garage on Friday and there its been standing since now. Once again he said he will not refund me the money, I told him that I will be taking this to the forums, and every possible place to discredit them, I have also since laid a complaint at the ombudsman, the small claims court and will be in touch with the consumer protection guys. I asked if he really wanted me to go this route, and he said he doesn't care. Extremely arrogant! So I know this might be excessive especially for only R499, but I feel the principle is what matters. Customer Service, Integrity, Sticking to your promises and trying to look after customers. You never know when the wheel turns and you start begging for customers again.
Well this is my story.
I honestly wish that Freek Jnr or Snr can get the guts to admit that they are in the wrong and apologize and rather retain a customer as appose to being arrogant and nonchalant about this, but I know I have a bigger chance of falling pregnant!
Enjoy the holiday guys, I managed to source a Hilux now for my Moz trip to Inhambane.

Hi Ricardo,
That does not sound great, and really sucks, especially when you need good service. I take my Paj to Hattingh motors in Centurion, they always go the extra mile and go far and beyond what is expected. Took my Paj to Mitspro once, they said they fixed the oil leak, well they didn't, also didn't get a warm and fuzzy so went back to get it sorted at Hattingh which they did first shot.
Also see a lot of long timer vehicles just standing there... He said guys that had'nt paid, but there were a few in some state of repair.
Hope you come right quickly though.
Cheers
David

Hmmmm...
We were all singing MITSPRO's praises until now.
Before I mention that service supplier to anyone again, I would like to hear Freek's side of these 2 stories.
Is there anyone who has contact with Freek that could ask him to respond?
Anton

The operation is seriously understaffed. And every time i'm there, there is a new crew.
But, my last service (last Month) was done in a day, all instructions taken care of, and within the quote.
Will be back!
