what temp should the gen 2 2.8T run at 750 degrees C?

I've also been looking to fit an EGT. I haven't decided yet which one to buy and where to fit.

Also, I would rather like analogue than digital, but not sure which is the better option.

Seen some analog gauges at Autostyle......not to sure about quality and accuracy though.

I think Steve's Auto (tune up specialists) have then, maybe with multi point readings.

thanks for the info, that is what my research recommended. i actually removed the manifold yesterday and i am going to check the turbo aswell.

i bought the madman gauge and they say the gauge must not be i direct sunlight, i will have to fit it below the radio.

egt installed this weekend, tested it today i must push very hard in 4th to get the temp to 600 degrees over 4000 rpm

i take it this is a good sign
