Hey guys,
I had to take my head off to replace the head gasket. The manual tells you not to mess up the order with the cam Journals as thay are machined specifically for the camshaft in that position.

This makes perfect sense.

The last journal is right at the back of the head and I accidently dropped it, I know its the last journal so its still in order but im not sure which way around it goes. It appear to be able to fit in either direction which swaps the journal bearings from left to right and vice versa.

Any of you clever guys know:
a, are then any identifying marks to confirm direction
b, does it matter?
c, do I need to panic....now?

check the hexagon marks just outside the machined journals.



That may give you an indication.

Other than that bolt the cap down lightly and feel for a lip with your finger nail in all directions.
