1st time Parejo owners - Pajero Exceed 3.2 SWB
:)
Hi, my name is Tricha, and my husband and I are first time Pajero owners. We live on the West Coast, South Africa.

We recently bought a Pajero Exceed 3.2 SWB Diesel Auto (1999/2000 model.) I attach a photo I found on the internet, that looks similar to ours.

After reading and learning a lot in this forum, I believe this is an import called Shogun Warrior in England?

I really love driving this beautiful vehichle, but have a problem!!

The MMCS (Multi Communication System) needs resetting (the screen first left a message in Japanese and then went blank.)

The Mitsu agents in Paardeneiland says thay can't help me, because it is an import.

I googled and found a website claiming they can provide us with this reset cd+manual.

Do any of you have any experience in this? Can any of you guys help? Have any of you ordered this cd from New Zealand as described in the link?

We would really like to get to know you guys.

Thank you for everything you share in this forum.

West Coast Greetings!!

Yes indeed. You have a slight problem with that grey import. Possibly try first to contact the Mitsu agent in Namibia as they are more prone to have grey imports there and might be more willing to help you in this matter. Might even give you a good excuse to go and tour Namibia 8-)

If that does not work a good place to get some more help on this is through the Pajero Owners Club of Victoria in Australia who might be able to point you in the right direction.

By the way, did you manage to register this vehicle in your name in South Africa, it being a grey import and obviously sourced from another country?

Enjoy the West Coast and your Pajero.

Re: 1st time Parejo owners - Pajero Exceed 3.2 SWB
Thank you so much for replying. It seems that it was a private import to Namibia. The same owner imported it from Namibia to South Africa 2 years ago. We had no problems what so ever to get it in our name.

I already contacted Mitsubishi New Zealand and will do so with Namibia as well. (Touring to Namibia sounds good! ;) )

I wonder how much trouble one can expect from a 'grey' import then? Will any agency in SA be able to help if something goes wrong with the engine etc?

I really like driving this vehicle - I was hoping for a long term relationship! :?
