Hi
I know the v6's are known for ticking, but on mine the ticking comes and goes. Even if it just standing and idling it wil come and go.Should it not be constant?
Can it possibly be oil pressure related? Or is there no need for concern?
Tanx
Good Day Henk
I have a similar problem.
The way I attend to it is to start the engine for 30-60 secs switch off stand for 30-60 secs and start it again. The noise then disappears. I think when you start the engine it lacks oil for lubrication or compression.
Hope it works for you.

Hi Lourens
Will give that a try but mine will even do it at operating temp and after a drive. will try some fresh delo though its done only about 6k km,and see if that'll help.

Henk,
I agree with a fresh dose of DELO and make sure you overfill by about 5mm - 10mm.

I would swap it if it was me, I say this based on advice I got on this forum from some seriously clever guys.
