Hi all.
I have a Pajero 1995, 3.0 V6, 6G72. The Crank pulley sheared the key for the second time in three weeks. The pulley got damaged and I need to find a new one. As I'm a bit cash strapped I am considering using a second hand one. The crank got damaged in the process, but according to a friend it is not serious and should not worry about the damage to the crank. Questions I need help with are as follows:
1. Why does this happen?
2. Is the damage to the crank serious or can I leave it as it is?
3. What is your advise regarding the use of a second hand pulley?
4. Where can I get a second hand pulley?
