Welcome.Interesting that you have smaller tyres on.Do anything good to your fuel consumption
Re: Into Phillip Grobler - 2006 GLX 3.2 LWB
Yip, I was a bit annoyed when I realized they were smaller - until I got home and saw that if they were any bigger the car wouldn't fit through the garage door :)

The 2nd hand dealer replaced the tyres before it went onto the floor, It seems the 245/75R16 are quite bit cheaper than the 265/70R16.

I am looking at going to the std size but will probably only do that once these are worn.

It would probably does help the fuel consumption - but I dot have anything to compare it against
I'm driving slower than I think I am
I'm not driving as far as I think I am
and the Gear box probably locks up more

Re: Into Phillip Grobler - 2006 GLX 3.2 LWB
Actually the circumference of a 245/75R16 tyre and a 265/70R16 tyre are almost identical; the 265/70R16 has a circumference that is nominally less than 0.5% greater than the 245/75R16. The higher profile of the 245/75R16 compensates for the smaller width, so to speak, at least in terms of the circumference.
