I had broken wires on my pajero as well.
I cut the wires and joined them to connectors from a wiring harnass I had lying around.
Job done.
However the broken wires on that silver piston thing is a different story.
Thanks 4ePikanini,
Brief overview: Intermittent warning for engine manangement is why the Pajero ended up at the Dealership, They sent the pump for checking, no fault found. After refitting intermittant problem got worse. Vehilce taken to Dealership again. Pump receved at Alan Black looking like this.
Hell my brother only knows how to open the bonnet and check the oil! No way he could inflict damage lke this!
It is a gemorse!

Well. If it WAS driven like this, and I doubt it was, then maybe that is the only problem. As you said intermittent light. Maybe one of the wires was genuinely stuffed and occasionally made problems. All it needed was a better connection. Off course the way it looks now it needs a specialist lecky first before the pump can be tested. If the dealers took it off like that surely they would have mentioned something? Unless they actually broke it!
Like you say - "gemors"!
Hopefully somebody steps to the plate to sort it out for you.

Hey Guys, here's my two cents.
Imho: If you are in the Cape Town area, then have your pump checked by Andre at Rite Diesel, this guy comes highly recommended, and helped me with all my diesel pump issues. He is quite good in checking the sensors too. I bought an old diesel pump to have sensors compared before I had mine fixed. I wanted to be sure that AB would charge me a fair price and that I had some sort of idea what was wrong with the pump BEFORE I send it in. One thing I can pretty much say is that I would not take it to the agents, as that exercise more than often ends up with tears of frustration. The agents are not Diesel pump experts and will only replace. On the up side, Alan Black only charged me 12k for my pump's overhaul - I feared it would be around 20k. Maybe it was because I first phoned them and discussed it's condition into the ground and also had a diesel specialist on the case (Andre from Rite diesel)
If you think your pump's sensors are at fault (sounds like it to me too) pm me and I could possibly refer you to some help there with Andre.
Either way, your Mitsu's stomach bug is going to cost you a few grand. But once it's done properly, you'll be a happy chappy!

Morning all,
Thanks for the update. Unfortunately no news yet, so I assume the fight is still raging between my brother and Mitsu Umhlanga.
Wiil keep you posted.

Hi Marius. No, I am posting this on behalf of my Brother. Quite frankly with all due respect he can only open the bonnet and check the fluid levels. He has turned to me for advice thus this post.
