Just got home from a long trip minus my 2006 3.2 swb,146,000km up till last friday my car was going like a boeing then 150k,s south of Goerge a sudden clatter Loss of power and plenty of white smoke!
My trip started in Ballito then Jhb then Fish River Canyon,Sendlingsdrift Pont,Honderklip Bay,West Coast Namaqua Park,Lamberts Bay,Somerset West and then home along the east coast
My car and trailer plus my wife and I were flat bedded to the Mits agent in Goerge (also Landrover,Ford,Mazda. what a mix!!)by Cross Country insurance.This is a magic company to deal with,phoned every 30 min to see if we were OK until safely in Goerge
Being late on Friday nothing was checked apart from a dirty fuel filter until Monday when a compression test revealed no pressure on No3 cylinder!!These guys gave us a loan car for the w/end,another magic company to deal with. Now waiting to get it home
