So guys i think my gasket is gone AGAIN.
This time i will be looking for a different mechanic to do it, no more friends.
So i got a ton of local cheap gaskets, going for R300.
Then Midas Komatipoort has one for R400 1.45mm.
Midas Malelane sells payen 1.5mm thick for R900.
Union Motors in nelspruit (mitsu agents) sells size D for R1100.
Which one should i go for?
Right now with the new baby in the house i cannot go major on repairs and wish i did not have to do any.
I think its the gasket caused when i ended up flushing my rad today i took her for a drive and the overflow just filled, the system pressurized very quickly (very hard top hose) and some "gas, vapor" coming from the radiator without the cap.
the fun part is that when i was running the engine (with the front of the car jacked) to get rid of air locks there were none of these signs!! i only took her for a 5 minute tops drive.
I do not know if the previous mechanic torqued her right but boy oh boy was she running sweet.
even on my 5 minute run she was running well. tomorrow i will try and drive her to work to see what it is. maybe it was a thing of the moment (lets hope so)
