Hi all as i am now the PROUD owner of a gen 3 3.8 I have some q's.
Why am I not hearing the lifters as on the 3.5. I know I'm crazy but I miss the sound.
And the automatic gearbox is making a funny noise when i pull away, but it dissapears as soon as i am on the moove, thus only on VERY low revs.
and thats all i have
Yes, you are crazy. Just get over it and accept that a powerfull V6 can be quiet.

I think I found a way to hear the lifters again.... run it without oil.... jokes, saw a dude at the garage complaining abut the noise, they then topped up his oil(2l) and the noise was really a lot quieter. hehehe
The noise from the gearbox, seems to be loose exhaust or some or other plate, Mitsu is having a look today.
