Re: throttle delay at startup
No idea - they did say the diagnostic didn't show any over fuelling - can the ecu even determine this? Hence adjust the injection to prevent over fuelling? This is where my knowledge ends - need some expert input here. Worried that it's just BS...

Anyway, it seems to have fixed it.

Alan black said the issue isn't serious (this was when I wanted to test injectors, and they did a dyno test without charging me :))

He reckoned i should mention it on my next service so they could reset the ecu.

OK. Found the answers:
1. Only on common rail.
2. After replacing injector(s) or ecu this learning has to be performed - else engine warning light will blink.
3. Periodically your ecu performs this learning automatically based on cumulative mileage, but you can also use a MUT-III tester to initiate the learning.

Re: throttle delay at startup
OK, so after a bit of driving it seems the problem has returned, but much less so than before.

But not sure if its the way its supposed to be. On cold start (at always starts easy), I need to give it about a second or two after the dash lights all go out before pressing accelerator. Of not, it's a bit sluggish for 1 or 2 seconds... Maybe I'm just paranoid?
