Wow - what happened? How many kms do you have on?

I was told I would have to wait about a month for a replacement fuel tank.

Re: Do you have problems sourcing NEW parts
With regards to the Brake Caliper, a tyre fitment center damaged the Break caliper trying to make a Mag Wheel fit by applying a grinder to it .. Long story, long forgotten.

The other parts seem to be wear & tear from overlanding and 4x4ing. There is 80 000Km on the clock (44 000km of which are mine)

I want to know why i as the customer cannot elect to pay a premium to have the particular part express delivered.

I need engine parts for a 1995 Pajero 2.8L Automatic diesel engine. I need cylinder head, liner kit, bearings, crank pulley, gasket set, turbo. Any ideas where I can walk in an buy these parts.

The R300 oil filter...
Price and availability – it’s a balancing act. Buy the original if you can get it. Here in Beira, I cannot even find a good oil filter, not even a used one! And then I have the guts to ask for the high pressure fuel filter (MD 619962). It will be easier finding the Loch Ness monster in the Pungwe river.

Re: Do you have problems sourcing NEW parts
It really seems as if Mitsubishi in South Africa have lost the plot.

I now have to pay in advance to get parts, many of which seem run-of-the-mill ones. As a consequence I have given Rola Motors in Somerset West the boot.
After the most recent incident I ended up at Imperial Misubishi in Kuilsrivier who had the part (map sensor) in stock.

This is the third Pajero I've owned. It will probably be the last unless there is a complete change of service quality rendered by MM and their dealership network.
Re: Do you have problems sourcing NEW parts
The wiring harness for the crank advance sensor on my 2002 has gone brittle and broke. Replacement part 8 to 10 weeks, but could not give me a price. In fact, took 2 days to get the part number out of them. Thanks MB Bryanston! :x PS Anybody know how to make up a harness? The sockets are moulded on and does not seem re usable.

Have you got the part number? Phone Mitsu East Rand or Mitsu Centurion and see if they cant find the part for you. Important to tell them that the vehicle is not on road due to this part not being available. They might just get it quicker for you.

PS - Where is that part on the engine? I want to go check my 2001 model. Maybe they must order 2.
