Guys......I'm feeling sad....but also happy......somewhere in between the two emotions.
I decided to part with my beloved pajero. I know it's a mistake.....but I have an itch or something that I can't explain.
I'm just feeling tired of getting things fixed with every service and in between. It's never just a plain service anymore.....always something else that also needs fixing...maybe I'm not the right person for an older car......so I decided to let go of my pajero.
It's still a very awesome vehicle and my love for pajeros will live on....and one day I'll own another pajero....I'm almost sure of it.
I decided to go for another rally king....although a bit smaller and won't take me as far as a pajero would...but it's also a car I've always liked........a Subaru Forester. Got a great deal on a 2012 model with a little over 16 000km on the odo....that's basically brand new at more than half the price of a new one.
Thank you for all the people I've met.....and really happy that I did at least one Barberton trip and got to meet a few guys and enjoy the pajero for what it was designed for.
Will see you guys around......and if some dude in his forester hoots and waves....it will be me.

Sad indeed but in the end you got to do what you got to do. I for one understand your feelings all too well.
The Subaru is a solid choice and one which I think should suit your requirements to the T. Good reliability, nice daily ride and still pretty capable on dirt.
Enjoy and do drop in here.

PS hope it wasn't that spare wheel cover I gave you that led to this decision

Hi Roelf
I got a 2012 forester XS with just over 16 000km on the odo....basically brand new in my books.

The SX is my personal pick of the bunch. Is it still the old 2.5 boxer or is it a new fancy engine? I must confess, I have lost touch with new car specs.
