Gen 4 DiD oil leak
Ever since my DiD came back from the cyl head replacement(a long story for another day!) there is a small oil leak(about a drop per night).I noticed the drop hanging under the bell housing, and immediately suspected the crank seal(even though there was never any signs of oil leaks before) After removing the covers, I noticed that the inside of the bell housing is clean, but the top of the bell housing on the outside is oily! space is VERY limited, and I cant figure out where it comes from...but its starting to get the better of me! I suspect the valve/tappet cover gasket at the rear of the engine, or is there anything else at the back of the engine I should look out for before I remove the valve cover?(I have already tightened the bolts)
The rest of the engine is clean and has NO sign of even the slightest bit of oil. Its only the top of the bell housing!(and obviously running down the sides) Any suggestions appreciated.
Re: Gen 4 DiD oil leak
I would also start looking at the rocker/cam cover seal at the back, quite easy to remove once the EGR system is out of the way. Maybe the mechanic didn't torque all the bolts down correctly?

Buy a cheap inspection mirror on a telescoping handle like the mechanics use, it lets you see in very cramped spaces, saved me a lot of time of removing of part to look for issues? Cheap at less than R 100.00.
