Is it tent and total self sustain, or are there basic facilities? This will determine what and how to pack
We would like to be there for the sunset and sunrise the next morning. Maybe some star-tracking if the weather permits.

There is NOTHING on the mountain. You have to be totally self sufficient.

What about the sound of spanners and ratches and compressors the whole night?

I was under the impression that the TTD outing was for Pajeros only. If you bring in other makes, we will have to suffer the consequences... As for the compressors: the answer is to get quality foam matrasses.
