PM the man.
I have on occasions considered getting this device
I don't make them anymore. I sell the instructions and wiring schematic.
Too many calls and problems with DIY installers creating headaches. It was only a matter of time before somebody messed up badly and I end up with a court case.
If you want to do it DIY then the onus is on you what you do with the instructions and schematics I sell to you.

Marius,
Any idea how many kits were installed?
Can you confirm from personal experience that push start is possible?

I would be interested as well. I reside in Canada, but will arrive in SA in late November. A firm price would also be appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

I would also be interested. Please let me know if you will make the kit available and what the price would likely be. I arrive in SA in late November for about 5 months of fun. Thanks

I never did a push start but I stalled the car once when coming to a stop because I forgot to switch it off.Roelf_le_Roux wrote:Marius,

Reason I ask:
As you have pointed out in the past; the hydraulic pump is driven off the input shaft. I suppose my question is whether it is possible to select a gear with no hydraulic pressure available?

Good question. I do not have the answer to that one. I do believe there is some residual pressure in the system though. I can't test unfortunately.Roelf_le_Roux wrote:Reason I ask:

Do you think it would be possible to contact one of your clients to do a test for us.
I would seriously consider this mod if one could push-start the car. Main reason would that 5th gear at 100 with off-road caravan in tow would be possible. Currently I find the clutch comes out for very little reason and then stays out. I thus cruise in 4th @ 100. Very comfy and relaxed, but I think at an extra fuel cost. If I stay above 100 in 4th, I can feed in as many ponies as I like, the clutch stays in.

I wouldn't ask that of anyone. If it doesn't work, the engine resistance (of a non fire) may damage the clutch packs.
I wouldn't try it as a matter of course unless in emergency.
That is one of the reasons I stopped selling the kits and rather sell the info. I don't want a law case on my hands.
