Re: Gen 4 DID NO POWER
Hi cats ..is that the map sensor? I was under the impression that the map sensor is the one on top of the filter? And the one in the picture is boost pressure sensor which I have replaced as well? I don't think that tube is blocked because when I changed that sensor the power came back. Anyways would check that tomorrow

Thanks

To be honest. I dont know which sensor it is but I think you are right. I just read on the thread that I attached that the vacuum pipe to it might get blocked leading to low power on gen4.

Hi Josef. MAP is the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor, and is what CATS is referring to. That measures the boost pressure relative to atmospheric air pressure, it normally resides next the the fuel filter and is connected to the intake manifold via a thin rubber tube.

As far as I can see, the sensor your are referring to on top of your air filter is a MAF sensor, or Mass AirFlow sensor which measures the amount/volume of air entering the engine at a given moment in time.

The ecu uses these two sensors to calculate how much fuel to inject into the engine.

Re: Gen 4 DID NO POWER
Great news, but unbelievable.
Techies are so addicted/reliant on computer readouts that they fail to physically check the basics as well.

What an awesome outcome at the end, pity about the waste of time and money. And well done to the Pajclub SA guys for helping! :)
